Sevilla Vice-President Addresses Sergio Ramos Transfer Speculations

Speculation surrounding Sergio Ramos’ potential return to Sevilla has been addressed by the club’s vice-president, Jose Maria del Nido Carrasco, following the defender’s departure from Paris Saint-Germain.

Ramos, who began his footballing journey at Sevilla as a promising youngster, has been consistently linked with a reunion with his former club since parting ways with PSG. However, Carrasco has now shed light on the situation, suggesting that a transfer is unlikely at this stage.

Speaking to Marca, Carrasco stated, “At the moment, Sergio Ramos is not an option for Sevilla. I have a good relationship with him. He is a magnificent player and came out of our youth system, but there is nothing with him and Sevilla.”

While acknowledging the remarkable talent and sentimental connection Ramos shares with Sevilla, the vice-president dismissed the possibility of a homecoming for the former Real Madrid captain.

Ramos, who donned the colors of PSG for two seasons following his departure from Real Madrid in 2021, made 58 appearances for the Parisian club.

As the experienced Spanish defender announced his departure from PSG at the conclusion of the previous season, various rumors have linked him with a potential move to Inter Miami, joining forces with his former teammate at PSG, Lionel Messi.

Currently a free agent, Ramos is undoubtedly eager to resolve his future soon. While the door to a return to Sevilla may not be open at present, the footballing world eagerly awaits the next chapter in the illustrious career of Sergio Ramos, one of the game’s most decorated and respected figures.
